Network Intelligence

Beyond serving DNS and DHCP, Subnetly continuously understands your network: it discovers devices and subnets, scores risk, runs health checks, recommends fixes, and keeps living documentation up to date.

In this section

  • Discovery — scan your networks to find devices and subnets, then promote them into IPAM.
  • Advisor — prioritized, actionable recommendations to fix and improve your DDI.
  • Risk Score — a single score that summarizes your network's risk posture and what's driving it.
  • Health — service and configuration health checks across agents, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Live Docs — auto-generated, always-current documentation: device inventory, subnet maps, topology, and change timeline.
  • Reports — exportable reports for audits, reviews, and clients.

Where the intelligence comes from

Subnetly correlates several signals:

  • Discovery scans (active probing + SNMP) from agents and scanners.
  • DHCP leases reported by agents.
  • DNS records you manage.
  • IPAM data — your declared address plan.

By cross-referencing what should exist (IPAM/DNS/DHCP) with what's actually on the wire (discovery/leases), Subnetly surfaces gaps: undocumented subnets, rogue DHCP servers, exhausted pools, stale records, and more.
